Percona Patroni EOL Support with Ubuntu Pro for 22.04

Hey folks,

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS has an EOL on April 2027

However, if we purchase Ubuntu Pro, that gives us 10 - 15 Years of support via Canonical.

However, if we install Percona Apt Repos for Patroni+PostgreSQL 17, is there an option from Percona to also have a 10 - 15 year support cycle to help Ubuntu Pro users? And if not, is there a paid commercial option for this?

10-15 years is a long time. I believe that few commercial companies will give you a commitment of more than 10 years, so upgrading is a good choice at the right time.

I’m not in Marketing/Sales, but I can say with confidence that we would not be offering continued support for a 10 year old database/OS.

There is no such plan currently, do support 10-15 years after EOL. That is not an easy task, and the longer you need to support and backport fixes into an old codebase, the harder it becomes.
