Alerting rules in Percona

I see in PMM that there are only handful of rules/metrics that are available out of the box for MongoDB, Postgres & MySql.

How do i create new DB related metrics apart from the one’s that are already available ?
Is there a defined template to create new rules and alert on them ?

Any leads would be appreciated.
