Xtrabackup package still it showing unsupported version :'8.0.19' please help me on this

I am using that MySQL 8.0.19 version while i am trying to backup with the script it needed Xtrabackup package installed Xtrabackup package still it showing unsupported version :‘8.0.19’ please help me on this

Hi @saikiran .

This error message means you are using xtrabackup 2.4 to backup server from 8.0 series.
Please update your xtrabackup to version 8.0 - you can download it at Download Percona XtraBackup 8.0

We have tried every version of xtrabackup but for our existing SQL version(8.0.19) which doesn’t have support with xtrabackup. They are providing packages for each mysql version except MySQL(8.0.19 & 8.0.30). Unfortunately our mysql version is 8.0.19 on servers

I think it’s a precona xtrabackup bug because Percona XtraBackup 8.0.12 and 8.0.13 are supporting to MySQL 8.0.20
.

xtrabackup 8.0.11 supporting to MySQL 8.0.18
xtrabackup 8.0.12 supporting to MySQL 8.0.20

xtrabackup 8.0.13 supporting to MySQL 8.0.20

xtrabackup 8.0.14 supporting to MySQL 8.0.21

Hi @saikiran

As @Marcelo_Altmann mentioned you should be using at least the same version of PXB to your version of MySQL, or a more recent version. Since Percona did not release an 8.0.19 PXB, the next version you should be using is PXB 8.0.22 . Please see this link and modify as needed for your Linux distribution. I hope this helps!
