I’ve been asked by different colleagues if I can provide the “timescaledb” extension for them.
Seems like this is a very popular extension.

Do you have any plans to integrate this for upcoming releases?

Does someone have experience with this and can help to integrate the extension manually in the current release of the operator?

we do have such plans. I don’t have any particular ETA as of now.
I have a feeling that we will need to provide a separate image (similar to PostGIS) for timescaledb.

There are also two TimescaleDB editions - community and open source. They are different (read more here). Which one are you looking for?

Sorry for the late reply. My customer didn’t answer the question, but after all I think it should be the Apache 2 Edition.

While this is work in progress for official support, is there a way to still install TimescaleDB as a custom extension on the Percona Operator for PostgreSQL?
I’m evaluating alternatives for PostgreSQL Operators and this is currently the only criteria holding me back from this one.
I appreciate any information. Thanks.
