Hello Ruslan, read this FAQ https://www.percona.com/software/mysql-database/percona-server/faq see section “How do I upgrade?”
Thank you for quick answer.
But on your link I see “For upgrades from Percona Server 5.1 to 5.5”
On MySQL page http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/replication-compatibility.html
I see “MySQL supports replication from one release series to the next higher release series. For example, you can replicate from a master running MySQL 5.1 to a slave running MySQL 5.5, from a master running MySQL 5.5 to a slave running MySQL 5.6, and so on.”
On Percons’a FAQ unclear for me 5.1 - any edition or Percona only, and I have to make upgrade from 5.1 to 5.5, next step from 5.5 to 5.6, and fird step 5.6 to 5.7.
On MySQL’s site page by first sentense looks it’s possible, but when read “example” think about 5.1 - with 5.5, 5.5 - 5.6, 5.6 - 5.7.
I that case I would like be sure replication from 5.1(original MySQL) to 5.7 (Percona) , Is it possible ?
if it possible , upgrade a server it’s easy, replication, remove 5.1, install 5.7.
Thank you.
