MySQL 5.1 RPM's

Hello,

We are facing serious performance issues with MySQL 5.1. After long investigation i findout it might be possible that i didn’t upgrade MySQL 4.1 to MySQL 5.1 with proper RPM’s.

I have 64 bit CentOS 4.7 machine with following listed RPM’s installed.

linux~] arch

x86_64

linux~] rpm -qa | grep -i mysql

MySQL-devel-community-5.1.32-0.rhel4
MySQL-test-community-5.1.32-0.rhel4
MySQL-community-debuginfo-5.1.32-0.rhel4
MySQL-embedded-community-5.1.32-0.rhel4
MySQL-shared-community-5.1.32-0.rhel4
perl-DBD-MySQL-2.9004-3.1.centos4

One of my friend installed following RPM’s for MySQL 5.1 and he didn’t have any issues.

MySQL-devel-5.1.32-0.glibc23
MySQL-shared-5.1.32-0.glibc23
MySQL-client-5.1.32-0.glibc23
MySQL-server-5.1.32-0.glibc23
MySQL-bench-5.1.32-0.glibc23

Can someone please help me out what are the correct RPM’s for MySQL 5.1 on 64 bit machine with CentOS 4.7 or CentOS 5.

Thanks in advance.

Is your friend running the same queries, or why do you compare performance based on just the version number?

Hello,

Not the same queries obviously, but primary concern is between glibc23 and rhel4. Can you please recommend me what RPM’s should i need to install according to my hardware ?

Thanks.

It will not matter for your performance issues. Let someone take a look at your queries and configuration. Pm me if interested, or hire someone from percona.
