Sometimes ago i have read a message, that the innobackupex in near future should removed. I have a working script for making backups of my databases. When you planned the removing of this tool? Should I use xtrabackup to be secure in the future?

At this time we have no plans to retire the innobackupex interface. if you are able to find a link, can you share where you read about innobackupex being removed?
