How to setup replication from Postgres 9.5 to 12 or 13?

Hi Folks,

How to set up replication from 9.5 to any latest version, either 10 or 11 or 12 or 13?
Is it a good method to set up replication from 9.5 to another high version, please suggest me?

Hi, you’ll need to use pglogical in order to replicate from 9.5 to any other version. It is available here.

TIP: Download the most recent version of pg 9.5. You’ll probably need to compile from source code since it’s so old, in order to perform a minor upgrade. Afterward you can install pglogical.
