How to find my Percona MySQL edition

How do I check if my Percona MySQL installation is an enterprise or community edition?

Hello @dbasan
There is no such thing as “Percona Enterprise”. So, no matter what, you have Percona Server for MySQL, “Community Edition”

Appreciated @matthewb for quick reply.

So when you install Percona MySQL its only community edition you get and no other editions are available to choose.

Is there a way to check after login to the server, any SQL commands?

Thanks!

I’m confused. There is no other edition. There is only 1 type of Percona Server edition. period. What are you wanting to check for if there is no other option? There are no other options so there is nothing to check for. You install Percona Server and that is what you get. Nothing else to choose. You can run \s to tell you the server version, but again, there’s only one edition.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. When you get the version it doesn’t say community edition, so thinking there could be some downgraded editions for use.

Now the confusions are all resolved.

Because there is no such thing. There is only 1 edition of Percona Server. It doesn’t have a name. Since Percona Server is based on MySQL Community Edition, you can think of it as CE, but in reality there are no editions of Percona Server.
