I was looking at the Diagram on the Percona Website it shows a Primary and DR site that appears to be a Hot DR cluster. Is there any documentation on how to do a DR site using Postgresql and Alma Linux?
Hi @Brand05,
AlmaLinux, RockyLinux, CentOS, Ubuntu, doesn’t matter. The documentation is not different depending on your OS. Only perhaps the package manager would be called differently. However, I don’t believe AlmaLinux is one of Percona’s supported operating systems. It will probably work, but we don’t test against that OS so no guarantees.
Thanks for your feedback. Is there documentation for any of the Red Hat derivatives that shows how to setup a Hot Standby DR site? I looked around could not find any.
I assume you looked at our documentation?
Hi mattewb,
Thank you for your reply!
I’ve already checked out the available documentation and set up a high availability (HA) environment in a lab environment.
I’m trying to create a similar setup with a second data center in mind and synchronize data between the two. I want to make sure the second data center can take over if the first one goes down. I haven’t found specific guidance on how to achieve this.
Is there a recommended approach or additional documentation you can point me to?
