ARM64 support for MongoDB

Hi Team,

I can see that there is arm64 option for the latest version of PSMDB but when I try to install in Debian 11 ARM machine with graviton2/3 instances which is as per system requirements it shows below error

All packages are up to date.
N: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-arm64/Packages' as repository 'http://repo.percona.com/percona/apt bullseye InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'arm64'
N: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-arm64/Packages' as repository 'http://repo.percona.com/prel/apt bullseye InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'arm64'
N: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-arm64/Packages' as repository 'http://repo.percona.com/psmdb-60/apt bullseye InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'arm64'

Can you please help me with it

Hi, at the moment we provide only docker images for arm64. You can get them from Docker
In the future packages will be available as well but I don’t have any dates to share on that yet

Is there a timeframe for this? We have about 800 servers running Percona Mongo on x86 that we could convert to arm64 and save 10%.

thanks!

Hi @Ivan_Groenewold

I can see in mongo 7 it is supported on ARM64 with 8.2 and later micro architecture

I used debian 12 with m7g.large instance.

N: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-arm64/Packages' as repository 'http://repo.percona.com/pdmdb-7.0/apt bookworm InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'arm64'
N: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-arm64/Packages' as repository 'http://repo.percona.com/prel/apt bookworm InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'arm64'

Can you please help as migrating to m7g could save us around 20-25%
