about this document Restore from a previously saved backup - Percona Operator for MySQL ,which mentioned “binlog gap”, i can not understand what it mean, and when it maybe occurred, could you explain it more clearly? thanks!
Hello @liolay,
A binlog gap happens when you are missing a binary log file. Binary logs are written in sequence: binlog.00001, binlog.00002, etc If you, or MySQL, purged a binary log before the operator saved a copy to storage, you would have a gap. When you have a gap, the operator cannot restore with point-in-time consistency.
