Use Xtrabackup for multiple databases - full and incremental

Hello,
I moved from MySQL 5.7 to Percona 8 MySQL, and I am planing to use xtrabackup to do the full and incremental backups, I have many databases around 1500 database, and I need to have a backup for each database and keep it for longtime, so I need to take a full backup per database once a week and diff for the rest of the week, does xtrabackup do this and how to do it, if there is a good documentation how to take backup per database and how to restore it

A physical backup for each of 1500 databases will be a nightmare to manage. Do you really want to mess with 1500 separate backups each week, plus 1500 incrementals every day?

If you truly need separate backups for each 1,500 individual databases, I would recommend you use mydumper. I believe the management of all the backup files will be easier and single-database restore would be FAR EASIER with mydumper.
