Hi @xyz
Details on the currently supported operating systems are listed on the next page.
Thank you for your reply, but the file percona-xtrabackup-8.4.0-2-Linux-x86_64.glibc2.17.tar.gz exists. Is it possible to continue using glibc 2.17 to support 8.4.x?
Hello @xyz,
PXB 8.4.0-3 dropped support for RHEL/CentOS 7. This OS version is incredibly old, and isn’t supported by Percona. It is unlikely that our engineers will put back in place the necessary code changes to support such old operating systems. glibc2.17 utilized openssl 1.0, while glibc2.35 uses modern, openssl 3.0. openssl 1.0 is dead, and considered unsafe to use in any production environment.
Thank you for your explanation.
