Percona MySQL UPGRADATION from 5.7 to xtraDB cluster 8.0

Hi there,
Currently iam using Percona MySQL 5.7,I would like to upgrade to Percona XtraDB Cluster 8.0

1.Should i upgrade directly from Percona MySQL 5.7 to Percona XtraDB Cluster 8.0

OR

2.First upgrade from Percona MySQL 5.7 to Percona MySQL 8.0 ,later move to Percona XtraDB Cluster 8.0

Please let me know which would be the best solution or any alternative solution if any …?

Either options should work, but to be more cautious I would proceed with option 2.

My thought would be to upgrade to Percona 5.7… then move to Percona XtraDB 5.7 then move to `Percona XtraDB 8. And TEST TEST TEST… I recently found a bug report in query execution in 8
