PBM restore from backup taken with another PBM version

Hi,
I have a backup taken using V2.0.5. now i have upgraded the pbm version to V2.1.0.
should we use the backup(taken from old version) to restore in a new version?
if that so, will selective restore works as per v2.1.0? Please clarify.

yes, you can do backup with v2.0.1 and restore the backup with v2.1.0
