mysql restart problems....please help!!!

Hi guys,

Got some problem with mysql startup. I apologize for mistakes but i’m new of mysql… so i need some help.

My machine:

P4 3.0 ghz
1024 mb ram
1tb hdd
windows server 2003
Myisam

I tried to configure the startup variables renaming my-huge.ini in my.ini.

But when i restart the service from Mysql administrator i get an error like : could not reconnect… or restart, or something like tht.

in the log the error is identified like this:

InnoDB: Error: Log file .\ib_logfile0 is of different size 0 87031808 bytes
InnoDB: than specified in the .cnf file 0 5242880 bytes!
Cant initiate database.
Aborting.

When i start with the my.ini file tht was created after the first (default) installation mysql starts without problems.

whats wrong with it.

some help??

thks

sounds like you have permission / filespace issues.

Hi JGilbert,

thks for your answer, i solved the matter erasing log file 0 and 1 from mysql folder.

The biggest problem now is tht (like before) mysql takes my cpu to 99% of utilization even for just one simple query.

I don’t know how to optimize it…the system seems to hog!!

some help please?

thanks
