Migrating from MySQL 5.6 to Percona 5.7

We are planning on migrating from MySQL 5.6 Master and Slave on VM to physical servers at a new data center to Percona 5.7

I’m thinking about installing Percona 5.7 and set it as a new slave. Is it a straightforward process? what should I consider?
