Location my.cnf

Ok, this might be a very newbish question.

I’ve installed percona-server using my distro repository (ubuntu lucid). Normally MySQL places a my.cnf in /etc/mysql/, but is it correct that Percona does not? Do I have to make a config file myself or…?
