The plan is to add a different kubernetes cluster for multi master with percona-xtradb-cluster-operator. How is it possible to add another percona-xtradb-cluster-operator from another aws region?

Hello @rakzcs ,
could you please give more details about the end-state setup?
I can think of two options.
Two k8s clusters in different regions, two PXC clusters
Goal is to have bi-directional replication (sync or async?) between the two PXC clusters.
Two k8s clusters in different regions, one PXC cluster
Goal is to have nodes running in two k8s clusters, but under one PXC cluster.
On (1) - we have this item in our roadmap: [K8SPXC-308] Add support for replication to remote site for DR · Issue #7 · percona/roadmap · GitHub
But we see it mostly as a solution for Disaster Recovery and initially we do not plan to include bi-directional replication. Please comment with your ideas in github or here.
On (2) - This item is not in our roadmap. Network latency across the regions might cause significant performance degradation for PXC. Having this setup in one region, where network latency is not a problem, might be a good use case, but I still see it as option (1) then with two Percona XtraDB Clusters.
Thanks for the reply.
