I remember that the vmalert will be removed starting from PMM v3 according to above ticket but seems it is still there. Will the vmalert somehow be removed in further version of PMM v3 or it has still any responsibility?

We have no plans to remove vmalert for now. There is a chance that we might use it for recording rules.
We’ve removed alertmanager that we didn’t use.
But why can’t vmalert in my PMM 3.4.1 (deployed via Docker) start at all? It reports an error saying that -notifier.url, -notifier.config, or -notifier.blackhole is not configured. However, the PMM supervisor configuration cannot be modified—any changes I make are reverted by pmm-managed.
