We run PMM monitoring docker container on an EC2 to monitor RDS instances. This message, “all available agents are outdated” is displayed on MySQL Instance Summary/Service Summary. Do we need to update the agent on the container?
Thanks.

Yes, you need to update all of your agents. Whenever you update PMM server container, you should also update the agents.
Thank you. What I am confused about is that, the upgrade was done from within the pmm UI. does it not also update the agent? Do we have to download a tarball for the agent and put it inside the container, even though the upgrade was done via UI?

Correct. Updating via the PMM UI only updates the server; this does not update the individual agents.
Hi matthewb, thanks for the info. This is to monitor RDS using docker container. So, I need to update it directly within the container? I assume so.
Thanks again!
