Hi,
I’ve an instance with huge file loads and processing afterwards. I’ve disabled bin logging.
The main and only question is:
Is my backup+prepare ok without bin logging? Does innobackup requires bin logging?
Thank you,
Best Regards,

Hi Meirim;
Xtrabackup / innobackupex do not require that you have binlogs enabled, however without it you will not have the binlog position to easily setup replication slaves or do point in time recovery. But if all you need is a simple backup of your data that can be restored as-is, then you do not need binlogs enabled. =)
