Are you using our percona-release
tool to configure your local repos? This single repo handles apt and yum along with many different major releases of various OSes. Please be sure you’ve configured the entire path. It is best to use our manager.
https://repo.percona.com/tools/yum/release/9/SRPMS/repodata/
Please keep in mind that tools repo was discontinued and will not get updates
as for your @MMcCown question yum repo is placed in a different path

Following the posted suggestions take me back to the same place, running the suggested install routines results in "Errors during downloading metadata for repository ‘repo.percona.com_tools_’:
TBH for the task I need it to do it’s not worth the time it’s taking to work through, I’m moving on thanks anyway…
Hey @MMcCown thank you for that! That page does indeed look incorrect. The correct command would be:
percona-release enable pxb-80
From there you can yum|apt install percona-xtrabackup
Can you let us know also which OS you are using?
