Try Physical Backup. v1.8.x has a tech preview of it.

Also, I suggest you to upgrade to the latest (v2.3.1) PBM version. It has more abilities (features, configurations) and improvements, which could be helpful for your cases. (PBM docs: Backup and restore types)
