About proxysql ldap plugin

Proxysql configures the ldap plugin: ldap_auth_plugin=“/path/to/MySQL_LDAP_Authentication_plugin.so” Where does the MySQL_LDAP_Authentication_plugin.so come from? Does it need to be compiled in before use it?

According to this article, proxysql used to support ldap plugin only in enterprise mode:
Is that still the case?

Yes, the LDAP plugin for ProxySQL is not freely available.
