Hello,
Is there a compatibility matrix somewhere regarding to XtraDB (MySQL) and Kubernetes versioning?
Hello @katajistok,
PXC and our operator can run on any current versions of K8S. Is there some issue you are facing regarding versions?
Some, but I’m not sure whether it is related to Kubernetes version. This is not so big matter now, since we will use the latest version anyway, but I was curious to know that is there compatibility matrix.
No, we do not have a compatibility matrix. Can you please detail your issue, K8S version, and PXC operator version so that we can start this matrix?
Since holidays are giving pressure… this might go until next year. We will test out upgrade of Operator and database cluster from version 1.8 and 1.9 to newest. While doing some primarily tests, we encountered issues, but I think we need to investigate a little more before we come any conclusions.
There is no direct standalone compatibility matrix for XtraDB and Kubernetes versions, as XtraDB runs inside standard containers. However, if you are deploying via the Percona Distribution for MySQL Operator (PXC Operator), the compatibility depends strictly on the Operator version you choose.
For example, newer versions of the PXC Operator support Kubernetes 1.25 up to 1.31+, while older operator versions are required for legacy K8s environments. You should check the official Percona Operator Release Notes for your specific operator version to find the exact supported K8s range.
