In my past company we run Percona server with innodb and some tables using Tokudb storage engine to compress the largest tables in the dB
at the time xtraback did NOT support Tokudb for backups
We had to do LVM snapshot backup on one of the slaves and that was fine …
Since then Percona has bought Tokudb and I want to know if I run the lastest version of Percona 5.6 and latest xtrabackup binaries would that now have support to backup tokudb tables and be able to restore them? or this is still not supported ?

Percona xtrabackup does not backup TokuDB datafiles. However, it might be interesting to know that a TokuDB datafiles backup solution is available: [url]https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-server/LATEST/tokudb/toku_backup.html[/url]
This tool is included inside since Percona Server 5.6.26-74.0.
