We have recently installed and configured a 3 member multimaster Galera Cluster. I am interested in using your XtraBackup software as a backup solution. My question is can I install the XtraBackup software on a stand alone server and configure it to backup all members of the cluster or does the software have to reside on one or all members of the existing Galera cluster?
Please note, I did not use Percona’s Galera cluster software. I used the release from galeracluster.com.
Any suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
