When to enable wsrep_log_conflicts

Doing a new test install on CentOS 7 of XtraDB Cluster 5.7 and most of what I’m seeing in both the install and the documentation intuitively makes sense, but I noticed the default wsrep.cnf file has wsrep_log_conflicts with no assigned value in the config which, I believe, means to not log conflicts (the default, per Galera documentation). I was wondering why this is. Are there occasional conflicts that are just part of the operation of Galera and MySQL and the logs would simply show a transient and generally expected condition that doesn’t merit investigation or are there actually times when conflict logging is a good idea and, if so, when might that be?

Thanks,

Scott
