Upgrading Percona-MySQL from 5.5 to 5.7

Hi,

We are looking for in place upgrade of Perocna MySQL from 5.5 to 5.7. Just wanted to understand the impact and risk to the existing data which may arise from new features added.

What are the data considerations needs to be taken during upgrade process?

Is there steps or guide available to upgrade from 5.5—>5.6---->5.7 ?
