I have such an environment in the percona cluster. I start pt-table-checksum on rider2 to check replica but when start check big table number thread on writer increases to very large number and i must stop checksum. Has anyone met such a case already and is it possible make chacksum on read not affected writer? wsrep_desync can help for that?
