pt-archiver Cleaning up a table containing longtext columns is slow

It seems to be slow on select, why pt-archiver query all columns instead of just select the primary key column?

  • pt tools version
  • MySQL version
  • The output of the SHOW CREATE TABLE for the table you are trying to archive.
  • Command line parameters used with pt-archiver
  • Are there slaves in you set up?
