Percona Toolkit on Amazon Linux

Hello there!

I am trying to install percona-toolkit on an Amazon Linux EC2 instance following the instructions here: Installing Percona Toolkit — Percona Toolkit Documentation (setup the percona repositories etc), but this way of installing the toolkit does not seem to be supported there?

Operating System: Amazon Linux 2023.4.20240429

The commands I tried:
sudo yum install https://repo.percona.com/yum/percona-release-latest.noarch.rpm
sudo percona-release enable pt release

And I get:
“Specified repository is not supported for current operating system!”

Are there any detailed instructions on how exactly I can install percona toolkit on this OS please?

Hi, for Amazon linux you should be ok with getting the tar.gz
Select the “Linux - generic” option from the drop-down here: Software Downloads - Percona
