Hi @vasu1,
Just so I understand, you’re posting on percona’s forums, asking for info on how to migrate away from percona onto something else? Is there some reason why PXC8 is not working for you? Since MariaDB is not MySQL, you’ll have to perform a logical dump and import into your new Maria cluster. Since you are already using XtraDB Cluster 5.6, why not simply upgrade to XtraDB 5.7 and then to 8.0?

Hi Matthew ,

Thanks for replying .
Actually we have old PXC clusters which is running from longs years . .Owner of those applications wants to move MariaDB for all applications …For this we are moving to MariaDB

Hi @vasu1
Migrations off PXC to MariaDB are simply not commonly performed by Percona. While we proudly support both PXC and MariaDB Galera Cluster, we find many customers ask us to support them on MGC, or assist with a migration to PXC. So unfortunately we simply don’t have blogs or documents related to your scenario.
You may find better success from the MariaDB Community

Or on MariaDB’s sub-Reddit

That’s awesome! Seems like the owner needs to understand the stability that comes with staying on Percona software. And as Michael said, most of our migrations are coming from Maria, not the other way.
