How to create a compressed streaming backup using xtrabackup

xtrabackup: recognized server arguments: --datadir=/var/lib/mysql
xtrabackup version 2.4.26 based on MySQL server 5.7.35 Linux (x86_64) (revision id: 19de43b)

I only see in the documentation the use of innobackupex to create compressed streaming backups, but no case of using xtrabackup to create backups. When I use the xtrabackup command, I get an error

You are missing some parameters:

xtrabackup --backup --compress --parallel 4 --compress-threads 4 --stream=xbstream --target-dir=/var/lib/mysql >/data/mysqlbk/backup.xbstream
