[GSoC’25 ] Can I participate?

Hi,
I have been working as a developer since last 2.5+years. However, I am looking to shift towards databases and database engineering in general and find one of the project interesting.

I find this project interesting “ BoostFS storage support for PBM”.

Main motive behind this is to work closely with a mentor in the database space on a hard problem and ramp up my learning journey quickly. However I am not sure if this is right or am i allowed?

PS- I have been a GSoC fellow once in past. Mainly looking for working with a mentor closely on a database project.

GSoC program is only students. If you are, you are eligible. If not, don’t worry - we can still cowork on your contribution.

I am not a student. But would love to work on a database project (thats the main motive). Let me know how.

As a first task - I encourage you to work towards building a workspace and the environment - PSMDB, PBM, and finally BoostFs.
