Fatal Error:1236 After Perona backup

Hello,

We did a percona backup and everything went fine. But after starting slave, we got the below error:

Slave I/O Running : No
Last_IO_Error : Got fatal error 1236 from master when reading data from binary log: ‘Could not find first log file name in binary log index file’

We checked the max_allowed_packet configuration and it is same in both master and slave.
The Relay_Master_Log_File ( which we got from percona backup ) is existing in master .

Now what could be the reason for the issue? Please help us to resolve the issue .

Hello,
Can you provide the following:
xtrabackup_binlog_info from the backup
SHOW SLAVE STATUS\G
CHANGE MASTER (command that you used to connect to master)

Also, please take a look at [url]Percona XtraBackup for step-by-step instructions on setting up replication and provide me feedback on which steps you have issues with.
