Configuring an async slave off of a master-master cluster

Hi,

# mysqld --version
mysqld Ver 5.7.14-8-57 for Linux on x86_64 (Percona XtraDB Cluster (GPL), Release rel8, Revision a3f9d06, WSREP version 26.17, wsrep_26.17)

When following the directions in blog post https://www.percona.com/blog/2015/02/20/how-to-setup-a-pxc-cluster-with-gtids-and-have-async-slaves-replicating-from-it/, this happens when I try to set the purged GTID:

mysql> SET @@global.gtid_purged='dd154cf1-8bba-ee19-4b02-25f924665db9:1';
ERROR 1840 (HY000): @@GLOBAL.GTID_PURGED can only be set when @@GLOBAL.GTID_EXECUTED is empty.

mysql> select @@GLOBAL.GTID_EXECUTED;
+------------------------------------------+
| @@GLOBAL.GTID_EXECUTED |
+------------------------------------------+
| 5057be81-c682-11e6-9b3e-005056a70e8c:1-2 |
+------------------------------------------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

When I I know this because I copy/pasted it to the implementation document…

Thoughts?

mysql> START SLAVE;
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.01 sec)

mysql> SHOW SLAVE STATUS \G

I had to create repl@MasterIP and repl@SlaveIP on both master and slave.
