All nodes show 'safe_to_bootstrap: 0'

Should I worry if all nodes are showing ‘safe_to_bootstrap: 0’ in the grastate.dat file? I am running into some issues with the original bootstrap node going offline. I have been able to restart but am not sure the reason or if this will continue.

This error pops up:

ERROR 1047 (08S01): WSREP has not yet prepared node for application use

Hi @Mikem thanks for posting to the Percona Forums!
When the PXC cluster is running normally the value for safe_to_bootstrap should always be 0. it only gets set to 1 when the cluster is gracefully shut down.

@Mikem That error message indicates the node is not connected to the rest of the cluster. Make sure your my.cnf has correct wsrep_ parameters set. All nodes should have the same basic configuration.

Thanks Matthew, it appears I had an incorrect IP in my my.cnf. All looks good now.
