Hello guys,

I hope not to ask something too obvious, but I can’t find anything that can help me with my problem. I have tried to make a Master/Slave test server with [https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-xtrabackup/2.3/howtos/setting\_up\_replication.html](https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-xtrabackup/2.3/howtos/setting_up_replication.html) as a guide but I’m stuck at the second step, move-back command. When I run “xtrabackup --move-back --target-dir=/home/cmihai/mysql\_xtrabackup” command, i receive: ![]() ![]()

![](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex019/uploads/percona1/original/1X/c33c16d6140028dc9bcd8ee1aa5ec3001e243248.png "Image: /uploads/percona1/original/1X/c33c16d6140028dc9bcd8ee1aa5ec3001e243248.png")I already check the version of xtrabackupserver and it is the same on both servers. I guess it’s a rights issue but I haven’t found anything concrete on the internet, and the rights are given on root, the same user I’m logged in to when I run the command

Hi @Fatidic
I would suggest you to try Percona XtraBackup 8.0.
_Percona XtraBackup_ 2.4 does not support making backups of databases created in _MySQL_ 8.0, _Percona Server for MySQL_ 8.0 or _Percona XtraDB Cluster_ 8.0.
