# \[WHM\] From MySQL to Percona ;)

Hey there!

I’m running a xenForo forum and i was between using MariaDB and Percona. I’ve decided to go with Percona since xenforo uses InnoDB!

Now, i was wondering how to install Percona via yum, if possible of course and how i could make it work with WHM/cPanel!

I’ve checked that DL link here [url][http://www.percona.com/downloads/Percona-Server-5.5/LATEST/RPM/rhel6/i686/[/url]](http://www.percona.com/downloads/Percona-Server-5.5/LATEST/RPM/rhel6/i686/%5B/url%5D) but, no clue which one i need to get

You can check this document for how to install Percona Server via yum [url][Percona Server for MySQL 8.0 - Documentation — Percona Server 8.0 Documentation](http://www.percona.com/doc/percona-server/5.5/installation.html%5B/url%5D)  
As Percona Server based on native MySQL, it should work the same with WHM/cPanel just like normal MySQL.
