# what's the difference between to\_lsn and last\_lsn in xtrabackup\_checkpoints file?

Does anyone know clearly what’s the difference between to\_lsn and last\_lsn in xtrabackup\_checkpoints file?  
Sometimes they are the same. Sometimes not.
