The company I work for mirrors the percona repos from [rsync.percona.com](http://rsync.percona.com) to our own internal repo servers. When manually setting up new mirrors for the percona 8 repos I noticed that the transfer speeds are really poor. When cloning from [rsync.percona.com](http://rsync.percona.com) I see speeds of 10-20kB/s, this has been tested from a few different networks with the same results.

Is this the speed that can be expected, or is there some issue with the rsync server?

Downloading via https from [repo.percona.com](http://repo.percona.com) gives decent speeds (5+ MB/s)

We implemented some fixes in the past year. Let us know if problem persist. Also because [repo.percona.com](http://repo.percona.com) can be served by different hosts it would be helpful to know to what IP [repo.percona.com](http://repo.percona.com) resolved for you at the time of poor performance.
