# Toolkit support for mysql-config-editor

Love using percona toolkit tools to manage my servers. Any chance the tools will be modifed to user --login-path and the .mylogin.cnf file generated by mysql-config-editor? We are not allowed to use default files with the password in our environment, but the encrypted .mylogin.cnf is permitted.

You can use the --ask-pass option to prompt you with the password. Of course, this would not play well if you are trying to automate things.
I’d suggest you to open a feature request in [url][https://bugs.launchpad.net/percona-toolkit[/url]](https://bugs.launchpad.net/percona-toolkit%5B/url%5D) so this can be properly addressed by the developers.
