# RocksDB storage engine in Percona XtraDB Cluster

would like to know: can we enable the RocksDB storage engine in Percona XtraDB Cluster, or is it supported only for Percona Server?

Hello @Mathava_Selvan,  
Unfortunately, MyRocks is not supported in XtraDB Cluster. You _might_ be able to get it working if you disable ‘pxc\_strict\_mode’, but there are no supported guarantees of it working properly in the cluster.

My apologies, I can’t give guidance on how to enable something that is not supported. At a high-level, you need to install the plugin, configure it, and then disable the mode I mentioned above.
