# Restoring Mysql DB

Hello All,

We have a Master/Slave replication setup in both production and test environments on linux. We are trying to restore the test environment with production. This is the first time we are trying to restore db from either master/slave into test environment. All we are seeing is the relay-bin and mysql-bin files. Looking for some guidance on restoring to test environment and not break the master/slave retention setup.

What tool did you use to restore the test? What did you use to take a backup of production?
