# Repo for installing MySQL 8.0

Hello.  
I have a question about repos for installing mysql 8.0 on Ubuntu.  
Due to this article [URL=“[Installing Percona Server for MySQL on Debian and Ubuntu — Percona Server 8.0 Documentation](https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-server/LATEST/installation/apt_repo.html)”][https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-.../apt\_repo.html[/URL]](https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-.../apt_repo.html%5B/URL%5D) I need to use

```auto
wget [URL]https://repo.percona.com/apt/percona-release_latest[/URL].$(lsb_release -sc)_all.deb

```

But for using pmm2 ([url][https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-monitoring-and-management/2.x/install/client-install-apt.html#install-client-apt[/url]](https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-monitoring-and-management/2.x/install/client-install-apt.html#install-client-apt%5B/url%5D)) we need to use:

```auto
wget https://repo.percona.com/apt/percona-release_latest.generic_all.deb

```

So my first question is what repo I should use in case if I am using ubuntu bionic, mysql 8.0, pt-tool, Xtrabackup, pmm1 and pmm2.

Is there any difference between percona-release\_latest.bionic\_all.deb and percona-release\_latest.generic\_all.deb in [URL][https://repo.percona.com/apt/[/URL]](https://repo.percona.com/apt/%5B/URL%5D) ? Those debs have the same size and the same date creation.

Percona-Server-8.0 is in repo  
percona-toolkit, percona-xtrabackup and pmm packages are in repo  
If you want to install all of them you should just execute and these repos will be enabled
