Hey all,

I’ve been working on developing a new monitoring system for MySQL/percona server. I’ve been exporting metrics from performance\_schema.events\_statements\_summary\_by\_digest into our time series database.

Everything works well, except that it seems like prepared statements are not included in the counters provided by events\_statements\_summary\_by\_digest.

Has anyone else noticed this? I haven’t had time to look at the mysql source, but my guess is that the events\_statements\_summary\_by\_digest code is somewhere in the SQL parser, and prepared statements bypass this. ☹
