Hey Team,

I’d like to request a feature, if possible, if it wasn’t already on your radar. This feature would help with the Alertmanager setup I have.

Right now, when an alert gets created using prometheus rules (and then routed through alertmanager) alertmanager will send an e-mail. In the e-mail, beneath the body of the alert is a link “source”, this link is supposed to link back to your Prometheus instance and show you a simple chart of the timeframe where the alert happened. In the PMM2 link, though, the URL defaults to “localhost:9090” and as far as I can tell there is no obvious way to modify that. I did a bit of research into Prometheus, and it looks like the way I would fix this if I had full control of the Prometheus instance would be to simply add “–web.external-url=[http://mydomain/prometheus](http://mydomain/prometheus)” to the startup command when starting Prometheus. But, since that step is handled as custom PMM startup, I don’t think I can change that parameter.

If there is a way to do this, please let me know, otherwise a way to change that would be greatly appreciated.

I am either not looking in the correct place, or I don’t have access to add a feature request. I can’t seem to figure out how to do this.

@nurlan Is there some level of access I need to request to do this?

I’d start from [https://jira.percona.com](https://jira.percona.com) (the link above may be too deep for a guest user). You’ll need to signup for an account (email, username, password, etc) and then a few additional account creation steps. That will lead you to the “browse project”, “create issue” and I forget the last one. Use Create Issue and choose the PMM project and then feature request.
